After just over four years at C5 Alliance where I’ve seen the company grow from 50 specialist consultants to a company of 170 predominantly qualified technical experts, I’m delighted to have been offered and accepted a new role as Group CTO.
It’s a really exciting challenge, ensuring the teams continue to deliver innovative solutions to our clients’ problems and helping them to achieve their goals. by keeping on top of the continual evolution in the technology landscape.
Although some of our clients are resistant to a move to the cloud, clearly this will be an area of focus for anybody involved in technology in years to come – one of my aims is to help our clients find the right blend of on-premises and hybrid cloud solutions to benefit from increased efficiency, agility and, ironically, security.
As a Gartner analyst once put it – there will be only Hybrid in future.
As my days writing production code and configuring production environments are numbered, I expect to blog a little less on the fine details, and more about IT strategy – however I’m keen to keep my technical skills up-to-date so you may still spot me in the developer tracks at conferences
You can read the official PR blurb over on the C5 website.
Thanks!
