I have same problem with ” getting devices ready”. Just, I have HP635 with switchable 6370, but there is no option in bios to turn it off. So no win8 for me:(.

Glad it helped; for what it’s worth Lenovo have done a GREAT job compared with Sony & Dell with Win8 Beta drivers (Power is the important one I have used) works great: http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/downloads/detail.page?DocID=HT072084
